i had to really sit and ponder this for a few days–

i think i’m gonna go with alice. she has never done anything kind or selfless for betty or polly. betty is always the one looking out for and comforting her mom. it’s not betty’s job to take care of alice and, yet, she does it anyway with no appreciation from alice. alice does nothing but make her children’s lives harder. it frustrates me so much that this is never acknowledged. whenever she does something shitty another character swoops in and coddles her 

fp is pretty horrible too. the amount of times he’s put his hands on jughead this season is disgusting. jughead jumps whenever he gets angry and that’s heartbreaking. he makes horrible mistakes, but then has no sympathy when jughead (who is still just a kid) makes bad choices. the scene of him taking a shot in front of jughead is easily one of the worst scenes in riverdale history; in part because i’m supposed to still root for fp after that. he’s pretty selfish when it comes to his kids as well, but he will occasionally have nice scenes with jughead and look like he’s trying to improve himself–which is why i put him slightly above alice. she has no nice scenes with her kids and has never been anything but selfish and manipulative with them
